Alabama football is planning for a game plan without tight end Josh Cuevas against Georgia in the SEC championship game.
When asked to give an update on Cuevas' status after he missed the Iron Bowl against Auburn on the SEC championship coaches teleconference, Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said he expects "Josh to not be with us for the weekend."

Alabama freshman Kaleb Edwards played a season-high 60 snaps, per Pro Football Focus, in Cuevas' place. Marshall Pritchett, Brody Dalton and Jay Lindsey also got playing time at tight end in Alabama's 27-20 win against Auburn.
Jam Miller injury update
DeBoer "still doesn't have much more information" on running back Jam Miller, who left Alabama's win against Auburn early with a lower leg injury.
"He will continue to go through his testing here early this week here today and tomorrow," DeBoer said.
Alabama was also without running back Kevin Riley against Auburn.

Dre Washington's ready and he can take reps in practice. We just got to keep plugging away with guys that are excited about their opportunity."
Alabama kicks off against Georgia at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 on ABC.
