The dominoes are already beginning to fall after Lane Kiffin's decision to leave the Ole Miss Rebels and take his new head coaching position with the LSU Tigers.
Kiffin announced his decision to accept LSU's lucrative contract offer on Sunday, leaving his 11-1 Ole Miss team before its College Football Playoff run.
A few hours after this announcement, four-star wide receiver Corey Barber rescinded his commitment to the Rebels program. The Alabama native had been committed to Kiffin's Ole Miss program since May, and was the team's No. 2 ranked recruit in the 2026 class.
Barber initially chose Ole Miss over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas A&M and other top SEC programs. Now, he could be following Kiffin to Baton Rouge.

“I am going to back off my commitment to Ole Miss,” Barber told Rivals. “I have some great relationships there, it is a scheme I liked a lot, and now I have to consider my options.”
Kiffin is taking Ole Miss wide receivers coach George McDonald with him to Baton Rouge as he builds his new LSU staff.
“I have been talking with Coach McDonald today. He is a great guy and we have a great relationship. LSU is now a school I have to consider," Barber added.

Barber identified Alabama and Washington as other schools he's considering in his reopened recruitment. He's scheduled to officially sign with a school on Wednesday.
“I am still signing on Wednesday,” Barber said. “There is a lot to think about, and a lot has happened, but I still plan to sign on Signing Day.”
Ole Miss is now led by defensive coordinator Pete Golding, who was officially hired as the Rebels' full-time head coach soon after Kiffin's announcement.
