MANHATTAN — A second Kansas State football running back will reportedly enter the transfer portal when it opens on Jan. 2.

JB Price, a Blue Valley grad out of Overland Park, plans to enter his name in the transfer portal, according to a report by On3 college football insider Pete Nakos. He will join Dylan Edwards, who left the program in early November.

Price had nine carries for 18 yards in 2025, with his lone extended action coming in the Wildcats' Sept. 12 loss at Arizona, in which he had seven carries for 16 yards. He only played one offensive snap for the rest of the season.

Price was facing an uphill battle to earn additional snaps in future years. The emergence of Joe Jackson late in the season would have made it difficult for him to ever snag a starring role. DeVon Rice and Antonio Martin Jr. also played more snaps, while there remains the likelihood that the Wildcats add another back via the transfer portal this offseason.

Price was the 11th-best all-purpose back in the Class of 2024, according to Rivals. He chose the Wildcats over offers from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and Oklahoma State.
