Barcelona set sights on new attacking target

La Liga giants Barcelona have earmarked a member of the attacking ranks at RB Leipzig as a potential future signing.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who highlight Antonio Nusa as the player in question.

Nusa, for his part, is a 20-year-old winger, who has long been held in high regard across the continent owing to his explosive abilities.

Despite his tender years, the Leipzig talent is already a regular for his native Norway, having racked up an impressive 20 senior caps to date.

Not only that, but across these outings, Nusa has managed to find the net seven times.

And it was during his most recent appearance on the international stage that the attacker piqued the attentions of the aforementioned Barcelona.

As per a report from Sport, Joao Amaral, the new head of scouting at the Camp Nou, was in attendance at Norway’s World Cup qualifier against Italy earlier this month.

Nusa for his part featured from the off in the clash, and levelled things up during the 2nd-half en route to a 4-1 rout.

Barca, on the lookout for reinforcements in the final third for next season, took full note of as much, with the Catalans understood to be keeping a close eye on Nusa’s development with a view to a potential future swoop for his signature.
