Arizona football is ranked No. 22 in this week’s AP poll after beating ASU 23-7 in the Territorial Cup. The Wildcats received 257 votes.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementArizona (9-3) is ranked in the AP for the first time this year. The UA was last ranked in Week 3 of the 2024 season, when it reached the No. 20 spot before losing at Kansas State.
This is the third straight season Arizona has appeared in the AP poll. The last time Arizona found itself ranked in three consecutive seasons was 1998-2000.
Arizona previously was ranked No. 25 in last week’s College Football Playoff rankings.
The Wildcats are one of four Big 12 programs ranked this week, joining No. 5 Texas Tech, No. 11 BYU and No. 15 Utah. Arizona and Utah join Arizona, ASU and Utah join No. 4 Oregon and No. 17 USC as former Pac-12 schools in the Top 25.
