Vanderbilt football star Diego Pavia's family has made their presence known in the stands throughout the Commodores quarterback's fantastic 2025 season.

But Neyland Stadium personnel and the Pavia family argued about the family's behavior in the stands during Vanderbilt's win at Tennessee on Nov. 29, according to video posted by WATE.

Event staff asked the Pavia family to not sit or hang over the ledge of the wall on the front row during the game, according to WATE.

"All the SEC has the same rules," Roel Pavia said to one of the staffers.

"We going to make new rules?" Javier Pavia repeated a couple times toward the end of the video.

Pavia's family, including his brothers and his mother, Antoinette Padilla, are often found on the front row during Vandy home games at FirstBank Stadium and are often shown on television during Vandy game broadcasts.

Later on Nov. 29, Javier Pavia was arrested on a public intoxication charge during the game at Neyland Stadium.

According to the police report obtained by Knox News, Javier Pavia was repeatedly spoken to by event staff about blocking the view of others with a flag and was told to remove the flag. The arresting officer witnessed him arguing with Neyland Stadium staff. The officer who filed the arrest report said Javier Pavia was slurring his speech, unsteady on his feet and appeared drunk.

"(Javier Pavia) was also extremely verbally combative with event staff and myself," the report said.

Diego Pavia and the Commodores closed on a 10-win regular season with a 45-27 victory at Tennessee, with Pavia starring for 268 passing yards and 165 rushing yards. Vandy is on the CFP bubble, while Pavia is in contention to be a Heisman Trophy finalist next month.
