One day after its toughest loss of the season, Michigan football got a much-needed win on the recruiting trail.
Jamarion Vincent, a four-star class of 2026 cornerback from Waco, Texas (Waco Connally), has flipped his pledge from hometown Baylor to sign with the Wolverines, per Hayes Fawcett of Rivals.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementVincent, who'd been committed to the Bears since January, is rated the No. 20 corner in the nation, No. 21 player in Texas and No. 168 overall in the class according to 247Sports composite rankings. A multi-sport athlete who also plays baseball and competes in track & field, he played on both sides of the ball as a senior and finished with 819 yards, 11 touchdowns and 6 yards per carry as a senior, per his social media profile.
He's slender at 6 feet 2 and 165 pounds, but has a frame that appears capable of putting on the necessary size.
"Produced encouraging testing numbers and track and field data in Spring 2025 to lend valuable context to athleticism," wrote 247Sports analyst Gabe Brooks. "Plays fast and does not appear deficient in top-end speed on the gridiron... Still developing technically, but assembled a terrific live evaluation at the Under Armour Dallas event in Feb. 2025, showcasing functional athleticism and position-specific instincts.

He is the second cornerback and third defensive back in the class who's agreed to play for defensive backs coach Lamar Morgan. He joins four-star corner Andre Clarke. Jr (Richmond, VA) and four-star safety Jordan Deck (Frisco, TX).
Michigan now has 26 commits in its 2026 class, which ranks No. 11 in the nation and No. 3 in the Big Ten behind only Oregon (No. 5 overall) and Ohio State (No. 6 overall).
