What a season it's been for Oregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore. The first-year Ducks starter began the 2025 campaign on a heater, impressing the nation and holding the top spot in the Heisman Trophy odds for multiple weeks in September.
Then, a rough patch.

And though they beat the Badgers and the Iowa Hawkeyes the next game, Moore managed to pass for just 198 yards and an interception combined in those contests. Despite a late surge in which he averaged 283 pass yards per game and tossed five touchdowns, plus a rushing score, the three down games proved fatal for his Heisman candidacy.
With the regular season now finished, he's still amongst the top 10 players listed by FanDuel Sportsbook for college football's most prestigious award. Yet he won't come away with it, with the winner likely being between a pair of Big Ten quarterbacks set to match up in the conference title game next weekend.
