Happy belated Thanksgiving to all New York Jets fans out there.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFor some, this day means a little more for some of the players on the roster than it should.
Mike Luciano of FanSided recently put together a piece on players who should be thankful they haven’t been cut by the Jets, and he had some hilarious words about what that means for Allen Lazard.
Lazard was expected to be a decent player for the Jets when they acquired Aaron Rodgers, obviously a move to make Rodgers happy, but some don’t believe he should be on the team any longer, including Luciano, and it’s tough to blame him.
“Lazard outlasting Sauce Gardner in New York was certainly quite the unexpected happenstance. Having failed to shake the drop problems from Green Bay and never really taking off with the Jets due to his inability to consistently get open, the chances of Lazard returning to the team next year seem almost infinitesimal,” Luciano wrote.

He’s caught eight passes for 54 yards this year and has one touchdown.
Nonetheless, he used to be a player who could go out and make plays, showing that with 14 combined touchdowns in 2021 and 2022.
Only 29 years old, it isn’t like he’s old, but it seems like he’s lost a few steps.
