The Denver Broncos signed kicker Wil Lutz, center Luke Wattenberg and defensive lineman Malcolm Roach to contract extensions coming out of their bye week. So, who's next?
The most notable player on the team's list of pending 2026 free agents is defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers, but it's looking like Denver might let JFM test the open market in March. Here's a quick look at three other players the Broncos could re-sign ahead of NFL free agency.

Even if Denver plans to add another starting-caliber linebacker in 2026, the team would be wise to re-sign Strnad. He's an excellent depth option and a capable starter.
2. TE Adam Trautman: He's a quality blocker and a serviceable receiver who knows coach Sean Payton's offense well. It shouldn't cost much to bring Trautman back.
3. RB J.K. Dobbins: It's possible that Dobbins could be back on the field later this season (if the Broncos make a deep playoff run), and he was a great fit for the offense before his injury. Coming off another injury, Dobbins will likely be offered a one-year deal.
The NFL's 2026 free agency negotiating window will open on March 9, followed by the opening of the new league year and official start of free agency on March 11. Any in-house pending free agents who do not get extensions before March 9 will be eligible to negotiate with other clubs.
