We've seen the New Orleans Saints wide receiver corps get whittled down this season -- first it was Rashid Shaheed getting moved at the NFL trade deadline, then it was Brandin Cooks being let go a few weeks later. And now there's doubt about Chris Olave playing against the Miami Dolphins. If he can't suit up, the Saints would have just 13 receptions on the year so far from the last remaining wideouts (Devaughn Vele with 9, Mason Tipton with 3, and Dante Pettis with 1). That's far from ideal.

So what do the latest reports say about Olave's back injury? He was limited in practice this week while managing back spasms, which head coach Kellen Moore characterized as a day-to-day issue. On Saturday evening, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported that there is "some optimism that Olave can go" into Sunday's game with the Miami Dolphins. That was corroborated by ESPN's Adam Schefter who added that the Saints expect Olave to play. He's officially listed as questionable but this doesn't sound like it'll be a game-time decision.
