Inter Milan Summer Signing Reveals ‘I’ve Had Chivu’s Trust Since Day One’ Ahead Of Pisa Clash

Petar Sucic has spoken ahead of Inter Milan’s trip to Pisa, reflecting on the squad’s mood after two consecutive defeats.

The Croatian midfielder spoke to DAZN, with quotes via FCInterNews.

“It’s never easy to lose two games in a row, but we know we played well and deserved more. That gives us hope for the upcoming matches. We have to work hard and do everything to take the three points. We must stay focused, we’re still at the start of the season, with many games to come.”

On his own contributions, Sucic added: “I give everything, I work hard trying to give my best. Sometimes I manage to give something to the team, other times not. One thing is certain: I want to improve.”

Sucic signed for the Nerazzurri from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer and is slowly starting to establish himself as an important important for Chivu despite a packed midfield.

Sucic has to wait his turn for minutes but has impressed generally when he’s played.

Speaking to Inter TV about today’s Serie A clash, he stressed the challenge of facing a Pisa side unbeaten in six matches.

“We need to be fully focused and do our best. Hopefully that will be enough to get the three points. We also need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal, but we’ve played well and must continue like this. After two defeats it’s never easy, but we think ahead and focus on improving and returning to winning ways.”

On the role of Chivu’s trust in him Sucic concluded: “It’s obviously important. I’ve had his trust since day one, from when I arrived. His confidence is key for me and for all the players.”
