The Seattle Seahawks made the aggressive decision to acquire wide receiver Rashid Shaheed at the NFL trade deadline. They sent 2026 fourth and fifth-round selections to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for his services. Shaheed has now made three appearances for the Seahawks.
Shaheed recorded just one reception for three yards in his debut versus the Arizona Cardinals, but did have two end-around carries for 20 yards. The former Weber State standout registered two catches on five targets for 27 yards against the Los Angeles Rams, but was again quiet versus the Tennessee Titans in Week 12, logging zero receptions on two targets.

On this rep highlighted on social media by Michael-Shawn Dugar, the Titans had a cornerback and a safety double covering Shaheed on this deep route. No wonder he hasn't hit a big play for Klint Kubiak's offense yet.
Kubiak coached Shaheed in New Orleans, making the speedy playmaker an ideal fit for his scheme. Shaheed is getting more comfortable with the Seahawks' offense on a weekly basis. Expect the splash plays to start arriving soon.
