Manchester United claimed their first win in five years at Selhurst Park as they beat Crystal Palace 2-1.
Goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount saw United get their first away win since July 2020 in South London.

As it happened
Manchester United were outshone by Crystal Palace for much of the first half. A rampant display could have seen the hosts three or four-nil up, despite United having most of the possession.
Palace had six chances at goal with attempts from Adam Wharton and Yeremy Pino blocked in the first 17 minutes of match, while further efforts from Jean-Philippe Mateta were saved or hit the side netting.
Mateta then earned a penalty following a foul by Leny Yoro, which had to be retaken due to a double tap from the French striker. Second time around, he made amends and scored to put the home side in front.

Manchester United soon scored an equaliser through Zirkzee 10 minutes into the second half which gave them the confidence they needed to fight back.
A second goal was scored by Mount, as he drilled home a fierce strike from outside the area. After setting up the first goal as well, it was a second assist of the day for Bruno Fernandes. This saw him overtake Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes with 56 assists for Manchester United, and it also earned him the player of the match award in the same game Luke Shaw made his 300th appearance for the club.
Manchester United had eight chances at goal in the second half to Crystal Palace’s four which saw Palace’s excellent home run against today’s visitors come to an end.
