Kill Bill's "lost chapter" releases today - and in a way that may prove decidedly surprising even for fans. Quentin Tarantino's two-part blood-soaked action film duology is now 21 years old, but the movie series is still just as popular all this time later.

2025 is now even bringing a new addition to the Kill Bill franchise, which expands further on the story of the films by adapting a portion of the script that was previously left unfilmed - which is set to first be released today, a week before it appears in cinemas.

The Lost Chapter: Yuki's Revenge Releases In An Unusual Way Today

After over two decades, the previously unused chapter of Kill Bill's original story has been adapted into short film format, and is set to release on November 30 at 2PM ET.

However, this debut comes in a manner that may surprise some Kill Bill fans, as the adaptation of the "Yuki's Revenge" chapter of the story that was ultimately left out of the films - wherein Gogo Yubari's sister, Yuki, hunts down The Bride to avenge her fallen sibling - won't be releasing in cinemas first.

Instead, viewers can access the animated short film that adapts this segment of the Kill Bill script via watching it on Fortnite at the aforementioned release time, which is where it will first and foremost become available - though anyone who would prefer to experience the unusual Fortnite and Kill Bill collaboration outside of the game also has the option to do so in the following week.

Yuki's Revenge Is Also Releasing In Cinemas

The unveiling of the animated rendition of Yuki's Revenge comes hand-in-hand with a limited theatrical re-release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, which combines the two-part film series into one movie marathon.

From December 5, selected cinemas will show Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair, and will also show Yuki's Revenge alongside this, providing audiences with a rendition of the unfilmed chapter of the movie series' story - which appears to be around seven and a half minutes long, based on Variety's previous report that The Whole Bloody Affair would have a never-before-seen animated segment of this length.

While it seems this rendition of Yuki's Revenge has taken some creative liberties with its story - as evidenced by The Lost Chapter: Yuki's Revenge trailer featuring main character Beatrix shouting at someone who appears to be wearing a Fortnite banana skin costume - it will be decidedly interesting to see what this adaptation looks like throughout, and how it approaches this part of the story of Kill Bill.
