The Miami Dolphins closed out the Thanksgiving Day football smorgasbord a year ago with a night game at the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers defeated the Dolphins 30-17 at Lambeau Field. Although Miami fell to 5-7 on the season to barely remain alive in the playoff race, there were some highlights on a day when it was in the 20s and there were snow flurries at the start. Of course, the weather could have been a lot worse:

Jaylen Waddle made a nice toe-tap reception in the Green Bay end zone for a two-point conversion after Achane's score.
Tyreek Hill also caught a TD pass late in the fourth quarter on a ball tipped by tight end Jonnu Smith.

Of course, there were some lowlights, too:
Trailing by 16 in the fourth quarter, the Dolphins drove to the 1-yard line where Tua was sacked on fourth down.
Tagovailoa was sacked on back-to-back plays and the offensive lineman beaten both times - left tackle Terron Armstead, who played the season with a bad knee and retired in January.
Cornerback Cam Smith, who was waived this season, suffered a shoulder injury in the third quarter and did not return.
The Packers returned the opening kickoff 43 yards to set the tone for the game - and the special-teams units that failed all too often last season.
As it turned out, the Miami defense held and forced a punt - that rookie Malik Washington muffed, giving the Packers the ball on the Miami 9 and setting up an easy 3-yard touchdown toss from Jordan Love to Jayden Reed.
Washington has turned into a steady receiver/return man in 2025 so there's that.
Who plays on Thanksgiving this year?
Alas, there will be no Thanksgiving Day game for Miami in 2025; the Dolphins host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Nov. 30.
However, there are the usual trio of NFL games to enjoy while eating your turkey:
