Actor and singer, Ariana Grande, reshared an interview clip from the last press tour of Wicked where she called the discussion around women’s looks and appearances ‘dangerous’.

In the video, which Grande put on her Instagram story, she said it was a ‘loving reminder to all’.

Ariana, 32, sent out a gentle reminder in hopes of ending body-shaming comments she said she’s received throughout her career.

In the interview with journalist Sally for Oui Oui Baguette, while being comforted by her co-star Cynthia Erivo, Grande said: ‘In today’s society, there is a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all.

‘Commenting on others’ looks, appearance, what they think is going on behind the scenes, or health or how they present themselves.

‘From what you’re wearing to your body to your face to your everything. […] That I think is really dangerous.’

Getting reflective, the thank u, next singer said: ‘I’ve been kind of doing this in front of the public and kind of been a specimen in a petri dish since I was 16 or 17, so I have heard it all.

‘I’ve heard every version of it… of what’s wrong with me. And then you fix it, and then it’s wrong for different reasons. But that’s everything from – even just the simplest thing – your appearance, you know?’

She’s previously called on fans to be ‘gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what.’

In a video she posted in 2023, she addressed the comparisons people had been drawing between her body then, and a previous body.

Grande noted: ‘I was on a lot of antidepressants, and drinking on them, and eating poorly, and at the lowest point of my life when I looked the way you consider “my healthy”, but that wasn’t my healthy.’

She wanted to highlight that there are ‘many different kinds of beautiful, and ways to look healthy and beautiful’.
