When Andrew Brunette was asked when he thought the Nashville Predators lost their advantage against the Florida Panthers on Nov. 24, he said only two words:
"Eleven seconds."
That's when Panthers forward A.J. Greer scored the opening goal ahead of an 8-3 rout of the Predators at Bridgestone Arena. Greer finished with two goals, one of six Florida skaters with at least two points in the game.

It's the second game in a row the Predators allowed a goal in the opening seconds. In the 3-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Nov. 22, Brent Burns scored 15 seconds into the game.
For Nashville (6-12-4, 16 points), it's just the latest in a stretch of poor results. It has lost eight of nine games and remains in last place in the league.
Nashville Predators' Roman Josi finds loss difficult to explain
Though the game started poorly for the Predators, who allowed two goals in the first 5:42, they fought back to tie the game on goals by Filip Forsberg and Fedor Svechkov.

Captain Roman Josi found it difficult to relate how things went out of control.
"It was a horrible game," he said. "Right from the first period, we just played poorly. It's hard to explain. I wish I knew why."

Josi managed one assist on six shots in 23:01, but didn't have much help on the offensive end. The Predators managed 39 shots on Daniil Tarasov, who won his second game of the season.

Juuse Saros allowed five goals on 16 shots, the fourth time he has allowed five goals in a game this season. He was pulled in the second period for Justus Annunen, who didn't fare much better: He made seven saves on 10 shots.
Next up, the Predators travel to Detroit to face the Red Wings on Nov. 26 (6 p.m. CT, FanDuel Sports Network).
