The 4-7 Atlanta Falcons travel this Sunday to New Jersey to take on the 2-8 New York Jets as 2.5-point road favorites. Neither team will have the quarterback they started the season with and neither team has any real hope of making the playoffs. The Falcons, technically have a chance in the NFC South, as the Buccaneers have the lead with a 6-4 record, but Kirk Cousins is still Kirk Cousins and now with less arm strength! But, we’re more interested in accumulating fantasy points for our fake teams and even the lowliest of the low can still put up receptions, yards, and maybe a touchdown.

Below, we’ll go over Tyler Allgeier’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 13.

When scoring a touchdown, Allgeier has had PPR finishes of RB28, RB9, RB26, RB16, RB30, RB19. In his five games where he hasn’t scored, he’s been unstartable. So, so far, if you started him each week, you’ve been correct 54.5% of the time. This week he gets a bad Jets defense that lost their best defenders at the trade deadline.

The Jets haven’t been all that bad against running backs this season on a per touch basis, but they’ve also allowed the sixth-most rushing touchdowns per game, which is where Allgeier comes in. Bijan Robinson is a stud and he’s going to get his, but this Falcons offense wants to run the ball with their awful quarterback play this season, and that means getting both Robinson and Allgeier plenty of work. And due to the Jets not so great offense, we should expect the game to be close enough that the Falcons don’t need to go into pass mode early on.

Start or sit in Week 13 standard leagues?

Start. He’s worth more in standard scoring than PPR scoring, but this matchup gives him startability in both.
