The 9-2 Los Angeles Rams head across the country to take on the 6-6 Carolina Panthers on Sunday as 10.5-point road favorites. The Rams have won six in a row and are currently heavy favorites to win the Super Bowl. With six games left that could easily change, but they are currently the top offense and defense in DVOA. They are as complete a team as we have going at the moment.
Outside of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, the passing offense hasn’t been able to hold up any other fantasy receivers, but over the last three weeks, we’ve seen tight end Colby Parkinson score three touchdowns. Can he keep it up?

Fantasy Football analysis: Rams, TE, Colby ParkinsonParkinson’s touchdown streak hasn’t come with big target numbers, but it has happened to coincide with Tyler Higbee going on I.R. He’s still not seeing a huge snap percentage, but he was the top tight end in snaps with Higbee out. He tied Davis Allen with four targets last week in the first game Higbee was completely out and that is a little worrisome. But, there is no doubt that he is the preferred red zone target with 10 on the season and four within the 10 yard line over the last four games.
The Panthers are eighth-worst at allowing fantasy points to tight ends this season, which is another good data point. But the question remains, can he see enough work to not be a complete dud if he doesn’t score? In his last three games in which he’s scored, he’s averaging 3.7 targets a game. His odds of scoring again are reasonable due to his red zone usage, but I sure would like to see more targets heading his way.
With no byes this week and a bunch of startable tight ends, I’m going to sit Parkinson if I’m able.
