With the Pittsburgh Steelers' playoff odds beginning to dwindle after their Week 12 loss to the Chicago Bears, some have begun to turn their attention to the exciting mock drafts, such as the latest Thanksgiving week edition presented by the Draft Network.
Draft Network's Jaime Eisner mocked Ohio State Buckeyes WR Carnell Tate to Pittsburgh with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft — giving the Steelers their bona fide WR2 opposite DK Metcalf.

Either way, Pittsburgh needs more offensive playmakers," Eisner wrote. "Playing in the shadow of all-world sophomore Jeremiah Smith made Carnell Tate a bit underrated coming into the season, but Tate has made a name for himself with his stellar play so far this year. He is a versatile, technically refined receiver who can win consistently in the short-to-intermediate areas of the field."
Failing to prepare for life after George Pickens, the Steelers' offense is in desperate need of additional talent at wideout — with Metcalf drawing the majority of the double teams, and other receivers struggling to live up to the WR2 expectations.
