This is rivalry weekend in college football and it is an opportunity to see some of the top prospects for the 2026 NFL draft play their best football. One of those huge rivalry games is Clemson versus South Carolina in the Palmetto Bowl. The Pittsburgh Steelers showed up there to get a double dose of two of the most interesting and polarizing quarterback prospects in the country in South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers and Clemson's Cade Klubnik.

These two were QB1 and QB2 in the draft coming into the season but neither player has shown the type of growth many expected, with Klubnik actually taking a step back in his game over last season. Meanwhile Sellers, who is a physical marvel is still very rough around the edges and might be a great candidate to stay in school and jump into the transfer portal for next season in a better system.

This is the fifth time the Steelers have scouted Klubnik this season and the third time they have had a representative to scout Sellers. Clemson won the game but Sellers outgunned Klubnik. Sellers finished with 381 passing yards with two passing touchdowns and two interceptions. Klubnik continued his struggles this season with 261 passing yards and an interception. He did chip in a rushing score.

These two quarterbacks were first-round locks but have been replaced at the top of draft boards with both players clinging to stay in the Top 100 prospects in most draft rankings.
