As Duke fans know, Jared McCain was a leading candidate for Rookie of the Year last year until a knee injury finished his season. Then this season, he had a wrist injury that kept him out of action. Well, he’s back now, and it looks like he’s picking up where he left off.
Wearing the 20, which was the number that Doug Collins, father of former Duke guard and current Northwestern coach Chris Collins wore for Philly, McCain has averaged 16.7 ppg, shot 45% overall and a very impressive 47% on threes. And against Brooklyn Friday, he racked up 20 points, shooting 7016/4-10 and also had 4 rebounds and 5 steals.
