Manchester United face a tough test on the road this afternoon as they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
A miserable evening against Everton on Monday saw a run of five games without defeat come to an end for Ruben Amorim’s side after what was perhaps their worst display of the season.
United missed the presence of Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha that night but that was no excuse for the insipid performance. A repeat of that today and things could get very messy for the visitors in south east London.
Palace, two points ahead of today’s opponents, have not lost at home to United in six years and have lost just one of the last seven league meetings.
Oliver Glasner will hope defeat to Strasbourg on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League hasn’t taken too much out of his side.

Football pundit Paul Merson has made a prediction for today’s clash between Crystal Palace and Manchester United.
‘Manchester United were shocking last week, Merson told Sportskeeda. ‘Everton went down to 10 men and still scored to win that game at Old Trafford. That was a really poor performance from Ruben Amorim’s team.
‘If United are looking for a new manager, then they must be keeping an eye on Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner. He plays the same system as Amorim.
‘The only difference is that while Glasner has the players to deploy that system, Amorim doesn’t and is being too stubborn about not playing any other way!
‘When United went and got Amorim, they brought him in for the way his Sporting team played. He has been there for a year now and you would think they have had enough time to adapt. But unfortunately, Manchester United are far from being consistent. I think they will lose again.’
