Ariana Grande has given fans a “friendly reminder” not to comment on her body amid growing speculation about her health.

Taking to Instagram Stories last night (November 29), she shared a series of clips from a 2024 interview that touched on the unsolicited commentary surrounding her appearance, writing: “Resharing this from last year as a loving reminder to all.”

Throughout the press tour for both Wicked and the recently released Wicked: For Good, Grande’s appearance has been a consistent feature of press coverage and social media commentary, with many expressing concern after her marked weight loss.

Seemingly addressing the growing speculation, Grande captioned the old interview clips “friendly reminder”, with one snippet she shared showing her becoming visibly emotional when she was asked about the way the public dissected her appearance.

“There’s a comfortability that we shouldn’t have at all — commenting on other’s looks, [their] appearance, what [we] think is going on behind the scenes or [with their] health,” she said in the clip from last year.

“It’s like, that is something that is uncomfortable and horrible, no matter where it’s happening, no matter the scale that it’s happening on.”

Back in 2023, Grande also spoke out about fans’ “concerns” about her body, telling them at the time she felt people “should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies, no matter what.”

Her taking to social media recently follows her sharing an emotional farewell to her Wicked character, where she said “becoming your Glinda The Good and being asked to join this most wonderful group of human beings on a most creatively and emotionally fulfilling journey was the greatest gift of my life.

“I have learned more from my time with Glinda than anyone.”

Musical fantasy Wicked: For Good hit screens earlier this month. It adapts the second half of the acclaimed stage show, and explores the relationship between Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Grande) as they embrace their new identities as the Wicked Witch Of The West and Glinda the Good.

Wicked: For Good has scored a three-star review from NME, with Nick Levine writing: “The one truly showstopping moment is Elphaba and Glinda’s climactic rendition of ‘For Good’, a big, blustery show tune that sums up their entire relationship. Wicked: For Good doesn’t defy gravity like its predecessor but fans will want to hold space for a sequel with a very poignant payoff.”
