Manchester United have had a wonderful relationship with Danish players over the years.
Here is a comprehensive list of all the Danes to have pulled on the red shirt of United in competitive action.

The Great Dane is arguably the best keeper in the club’s history.
Every great team needs a top notch keeper and Schmeichel was one of the driving forces of United’s great teams in the 1990s.
His blend of acrobatic stops and leadership at the back made him an indispensable member of Sir Alex Ferguson’s first eleven.
2) Jesper Olsen
The left winger first made a name for himself in the great Ajax team of the 1970s.
He was a popular figure amongst fans and collected an FA Cup winners medal in 1985.
3) Christian Eriksen
Eriksen spent three years at Old Trafford under Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim.

Unfortunately he picked up a very serious injury in 2023 and he was never quite the same player again.
Eriksen still showed his class from time to time including a couple of screamers in the Europa League last season. He left the club as a free agent in the summer.
4) Rasmus Hojlund
Hojlund is still technically a Manchester United player and may harbour ambitions to play for his boyhood club once again.
Sadly, it has not worked out for him at Old Trafford as he was sent on loan to SSC Napoli this season after the club signed Benjamin Sesko.

5)John Sivebeak
The defender joined United from Danish side Vejle in 1986.
He only spent one season at the club though and moved to Saint-Etienne in France.
Sivebeak would also go on to be part of Denmark’s heroic 1992 European championship winning side.
6) Patrick Dorgu
Dorgu joined United from Lecce in the January market last season.
The 21 year old has since made the left wing back spot his own, but has failed to convince too many United fans.
He clearly has potential but he needs to add more to his game to ensure that he has a significant future role at the club.

The Dane joined United in 2011 as a back up option to David de Gea.
He won the Premier League title in 2013 and was generally a reliable back up for four seasons in Manchester.
8) Chido Obi
The exciting young striker was signed from Arsenal last summer and made such an impact at Carrington that he broke into the United first team last year.
He has not been involved this season at first team level but the future is certainly bright for the young talent.
9) Mads Timm
The forward spent three years at United and made one appearance versus Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League.
He finally moved back to Odense but retired from football in 2009 because of injuries.
