No. 9 Notre Dame had one last chance to make its case to be part of the College Football Playoff, and the Fighting Irish did their part with a 49-20 blowout win on the road over the rival Stanford Cardinal.
Here are the five stars from Saturday's game, which was Notre Dame's last of the regular season.
5 ⭐️ - Jeremiyah Love
Love's numbers ended up a bit low for him -- only 66 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. But that touchdown gave him the single-season school record. Not only that, but Love toughed out a rib injury and returned to the game -- and had the Irish not turned the game into a blowout, he might have gotten more carries, even with an apparent rib injury.
4 ⭐️ - Aneyas Williams
The third-string running back came off the bench in a laugher and had 83 yards on 10 carries, scoring two touchdowns. One of those came on a 51-yard run. He also had two catches for 40 yards, one of which went for 25 yards.
3⭐️ - Jadarian Price
Price stepped in for Love nicely. He only had 15 yards rushing on six carries, but he was a good pass-catcher out of the backfield, with three receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. He also had a touchdown on the ground.
2⭐️ - Jordan Faison
Faison was prolific on Saturday, with three catches for 68 yards and a touchdown -- and that stat line includes a 54-yard explosive that set up his touchdown.
1⭐️ - CJ Carr
Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr didn't have to do a ton of work on Saturday -- his running backs were carrying the day for the Fighting Irish, and with the game out of hand in the second half, Carr was rested. Still, he finished 17-of-27 for 205 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.
