Chelsea are reportedly one of seven top clubs who can trigger the release clause of a 172-goal striker in the summer of 2026.

Whether they will actually consider doing so or not is another thing, but he is certainly a player that they have had some recent interest and links with lately.

Sources: Chelsea not in talks to sign Serie A star but there ARE developments in one key position!

We are getting closer to the January transfer window now and although we don’t expect Chelsea to be too busy during the winter, there are always situations going on and some of those could spill into the summer window as well – when we do actually expect Chelsea to be a little busier with certain positions and situations.

Player sales could be a big task again, but I also think that there could be situations at the back in defence, in goal, and maybe even up top with another new striker perhaps on the agenda. We shall see.

“Serhou Guirassy is one to watch for the summer, as he could leave Borussia Dortmund.

“29 y/o top striker is understood to have a release clause that should be at “only” around €50 million. It applies to seven top clubs: Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United.”
