No. 9 Notre Dame is full of special-teams tricks.

The Fighting Irish were leading the Stanford Cardinal 14-0 and about to punt from deep in their own territory when the coaching staff called for a fake. Defensive lineman Joshua Burham, in for punt coverage, took the snap and passed to safety Luke Talich.

Talich took the ball 84 yards to the house to cap off an 85-yard drive that took four plays and used up just 55 seconds.

It was a risky call for head coach Marcus Freeman -- if the fake failed to earn a first down, the Cardinal would've had a short field to work with. Instead, it appeared to be the kind of play that can take the wind out of the sails of the home team.
