By Matthew CoudenShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberWWE superstar Liv Morgan returned surprisingly at the Survivor Series: WarGames event. After being out due to injury for months, the Judgment Day member appeared during John Cena's second-to-last match, as he defended the Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio.
Most fans remember that Liv and Dom were together before she exited due to injury. However, during her hiatus, Dom seemingly found comfort and ringside assistance from Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez.
They were all present for Dom's match and even tried to intervene. However, the referee caught on and tossed Roxanne and Raquel from the sidelines. Judgment Day members Finn Balor and JD McDonagh rushed to the ring after the referee got inadvertently knocked out, but that wasn't enough to help Dom as Cena hit a double decker AA on them.

It was then that Liv Morgan's theme music hit, and the bubbly-yet-diabolical superstar made her way to the ring. Upon getting in between Cena and Dom, she proceeded to slap Dom in the face, then leapt on Cena to straddle and hug him.
...At first, she seemed delighted to see him, but then quickly her eyes and expression turned evil. Soon after the embrace, she proceeded to deliver a low blow kick to Cena, then helped push the ref back into the ring to count Dom's pinfall.
With that, she helped her man reclaim his WWE Intercontinental Championship. WWE shared a video highlighting her return and in-ring involvement in Dom's match.

At 9:01 p.m. Eastern Time, Liv also took to her X account seemingly to pay tribute to John Cena, but it appeared to be more of her trolling the former WWE Intercontinental Champion.
Liv shared a photo of herself wearing a red John Cena hat, shirt, and wristbands, along with tiny jean shorts, as she saluted. She didn't include any message, as she did all of that in the ring with how she helped Dom win.

During WWE's Survivor Series post-show on ESPN, Dominik said he won his match as he usually does in a "clean" fashion. Liv called it "fair and square."
That prompted Big E to ask why Liv decided to come back now, as he'd heard she might return at the 2026 Royal Rumble.
"You know, as great as it's been watching Dominik thrive and have so much fun without me, I thought today of all the days I'd just show up. A little surprise," she said.

WWE's post-show host, Joe Tessitore, asked what everyone might expect from Liv in the future, but she kept things cryptic.
"You're gonna have to watch me," Liv said.
Liv’s return came after a five-month hiatus, as she’d previously suffered a legitimate dislocated shoulder injury in a June 16 Raw match against Kairi Sane. At the time, Liv was one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team champions with Raquel, but due to her injury, Roxanne took over.
