The record for long field goal in a Long Island championship game had stood since 1993, when West Islip's Scott Coppo cashed in from 43 yards.
The Phantoms of Bayport-Blue Point won their third Long Island championship in the last four seasons.
Without their kicker, the Phantoms wouldn't have gotten it done.
