Editorial: Once more unto the breach, dear friends. This is not just a rivalry. Much is at stale for both teams. Alabama needs the win in order to help find a spot in the CFP. The Orange Tigers need the win for bowl eligibility and to salvage a rotten season of close losses. But more importantly, that school wants nothing more than to ruin the Crimson Tide’s season.
Alabama Injuries: Tight ends Josh Cuevas and Danny Lewis are out. New to the “out” list is reserve running back Kevin Riley who had some nice moments last weekend.
Aub Injuries/Out: Safety Sylvester Smith will miss the first half following a targeting call in the second half of last week’s win over Mercer. Fellow safety and team captain Champ Anthony will miss his fourth straight game due to injury. Linebacker Demarcus Riddick underwent a season-ending surgery during Auburn’s open week before Mercer.
Series: Alabama is 51-37-1 all-time against the War Plains Eagles. Bama has won the last five in a row.
Weather: It’s expected to be around 50° at kickoff, dropping down into the mid 40s by the final whistle. Rain is not expected.
