Sean O'Malley can't help but be concerned about Jake Paul boxing Anthony Joshua.
Paul went from an exhibition boxing match against WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, which was later canceled, to a matchup against former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua on Dec. 19 at Kaseya Center in Miami.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJoshua already made a statement when he proved that former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou had no business being in the ring with him, and O'Malley wonders what he might do to Paul.
"Did you see the size difference between Anthony? Did you see how f*cking huge that guy is? 6'6, 265," O'Malley said on his YouTube channel. "This fight, as a friend of Jake, is like, I'm scared. Getting knocked out by someone like that changes lives. It doesn't change just your career path; it can change lives. It can change the way you think. Getting knocked out, bad concussions are scary. You have one f*cking brain, and he's willing to go out there and fight. Like, that is absolutely f*cking insane. Like, it scares me."
If Paul manages to survive the entire fight without being stopped by Joshua, O'Malley thinks that would be good enough.
"If Jake goes to a decision and loses a decision to A.J., I think that's a win," O'Malley said. "That's a massive win. If he goes out there and goes eight, three-minute rounds with Anthony Joshua, that is a win."
