Drake basketball tops Georgia Tech at Emerald Coast Classic

The Drake men's basketball team took down Georgia Tech, 84-74, on Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Emerald Coast Classic.

The Bulldogs (5-3) got off to a hot start and went into the halftime break with a 43-40 lead over the Yellowjackets. Drake never really relented, holding the lead for over 34 minutes of action compared to just 2:20 time spent in the lead for Georgia Tech.

Jalen Quinn led the way for Drake. He posted a team-high 31 points in the victory while also adding five boards and seven assists. Okku Federiko had a big night too, posting 20 points and eight boards.

Drake is back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 2, when it welcomes Western Illinois to Des Moines for a 6:30 p.m. CT game at the Knapp Center.
