Fans did not hesitate to jump into the comments of Smith's post. Ohio State fans were fully in support of the team's superstar wideout, while Michigan fans did not waste time ripping into Smith.

"That’s how many times you’ve beat Michigan in the last 6 years," one fan wrote.

Another chimed in, "Thank you, goat."

"The best football player that will ever touch God’s green Earth," a third comment read.

A fourth fan commented, "And Ryan Day said they win with humility!! lol."

"To the whole state of Michigan!" a fifth commenter said.

Despite a slow start to the game, it was clear that the Buckeyes were the better team. The Wolverines put up a fight, but the Ohio State defense was too much for Bryce Underwood and company to succeed against.

The loss will almost certainly knock Michigan out of contention for the College Football Playoff. As for the Buckeyes, they're going to be fighting for the No. 1 seed in the playoff with Indiana, who is current the No. 2 ranked team in the country.
