The National Weather Service (NWS) issued tornado warnings for areas of Mississippi and Louisiana as "dangerous storms" threatened the states early on Tuesday morning.
"Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter," the NWS alerts said. "Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."

- NWS tornado warnings were issued for areas around Lacombe, Slidell, and Pearl River in Louisiana, and for Meridian Station, Lauderdale, Daleville, Suqualena, and Tamola in Mississippi until 5:15 a.m. local time.
- The warnings were prompted by severe thunderstorms in the area throughout the night and into the early morning that are capable of producing tornadoes.
