Video: Alex Pereira knocks out sparring partner in gym

Many fighters have met their demise in the form of Alex Pereira's short left hook in the UFC cage, but they are at least paid for it.

One fighter recently undertook the sacrificial experience for free in the gym, however, as video has surfaced of Pereira wrecking some poor soul with his signature shot. In a video posted Saturday by Instagram user Baba Buwaba, Pereira flattened a sparring foe in front of the entire gym.

Pereira dug the body several times before landing the final blow, which drew varying reactions from onlookers. Some fighters covered their mouths in shock, others cackled at the scene that had unfolded.

It's unclear who the training partner was, but he took the shot right on the chin and folded like a lawn chair in the process.

Pereira might have some pent-up energy due to the fact he doesn't currently have a fight on the books. The UFC's schedule is still relatively barren for 2026, with only a handful of fights on the slate. Perhaps the UFC can get this man a fight before he claims another victim without either cashing paychecks.
