HUNTSVILLE — After the conclusion of the state championship, Huntsville volleyball found out its all-district members.

With A&M Consolidated eliminated in the State Championship, the Lady Hornets learned that it had one member on the all-district first team, two on the all-district second team, two as honorable mentions and 12 on the All-District Academic team.

Kloee Lehman, First-Team

The junior was a do-it-all player for the Lady Hornets and was key for this team. Lehman landed 59 district kills, seven aces, 12 total blocks, 50 digs and 113 serve receptions in 36 sets.

Sophia Moreno, Second-Team

The senior hitter led the Lady Hornets with 77 kills through district play, landing 24.5% of her attempts. Moreno had three blocks, 29 digs, one assist and 71 serve receptions.

Sydney Paschal, Second Team

The sophomore took over as a key defender for Huntsville through distinct play. Paschal had a team-high 156 digs in district play, averaging 13 digs a match. Paschal added six aces, 19 assists and 250 serve receptions.

Lauren Rigsby, Honorable Mention

In her junior campaign, Rigsby saved 69 points with digs and 96 serve receptions for the Lady Hornets. She served up three aces, landed a kill and had a block for Huntsville.

Karissa Brinkley, HM

The freshman came on strong for Huntsville in her first season. Brinkley landed 42 kills and 25 blocks on the front line. As a defender, she dug up 15 balls and received 28 serves.

Huntsville was rewarded for the efforts in the classroom on the All-Academic team with Moreno, Lehman, Erionne Giddens, Taleah Moore, Taylor Shaw, Aubrey Garrett, Brinkley, Paschal, Brianna Torres, Elaine Culak, Annabelle Murra and Rigsby.
