My Hero Academia’s Greatest Fight Clears Deku vs Shigaraki Hands Down

There are a ton of great fights in My Hero Academia, but surprisingly, the main character of the franchise isn't in the best fight overall.

My Hero Academia has always been good, but the past few seasons have taken the franchise to an entirely new level. The final seasons of the anime have brought together all the series' loose ends and have created a succinct ending, showcasing stellar moments, emotional catharsis, and some of the best fights in anime.

Izuku Midoriya, or Deku, is the main character of My Hero Academia, and while he's involved in a ton of the series' best fights, he misses out on the absolute best fight. His fights against Muscular, Bakugo, and especially Shigaraki are unbelievable, but they're not as good as this fight at the end of the franchise.

Deku vs. Shigaraki Is Good...

Deku Pulled Out All the Stops Against Shigaraki

Deku vs. Shigaraki was a fight several seasons in the making. Ever since Shigaraki first appeared in the series, it seemed as if his fight against Deku was destined. They represent two sides of Quirks: Deku fights for those who can't protect themselves while Shigaraki does the opposite, inflicting damage on anyone who stands in his way.

Towards the end of My Hero Academia, the two characters are revealed to have more in common than they thought. They're both fighting to protect, and somewhat inspire, their friends, as Shigaraki just wants to be a villain his friends can look up to.

Their fight was masterful. Shigaraki had quickly become one of the strongest characters in My Hero Academia, and Deku finally got a hold on each of the Quirks in One For All. While Deku's fight with Shigaraki was amazing, there's one character who had a much better fight in the final season of the anime.

... But Bakugo vs. All For One Is Better

Bakugo Has the Best Fight in the Franchise

Bakugo's fight against All For One is easily the greatest fight in the franchise. All For One vs. One For All is another great option, but it doesn't have the same weight as Bakugo's fight against the villain. Even though All For One has the strongest Quirk in My Hero Academia, Bakugo couldn't care less.

Bakugo fought All For One ruthlessly. He flew at him with aggression in his eyes and power in his hands, dominating the strongest villain around and shouting that he was in fact the 'Final Boss', not all for one. It's one of the most deranged moments in anime in the best way possible, and nobody could've pulled it off like Bakugo did.

It's interesting that the best fight in My Hero Academia didn't involve the main character, but Bakugo's fight was so good that it didn't matter.
