We shot out ahead of the Beavers, allowed them to close the gap a little bit before the half, and then outscored them 30-9 in the third to put things away for good. Oregon State is by no means a powerhouse, but they could be a tournament team. That win will be a good one to have down the line.
Now we’ve got a similarly tiered BYU Cougars standing in the way of us and a Paradise Jam title. Wait, what’s that? There were three 4-team brackets with no overlap? So there is no real “title” for this whole shindig, unless you count winning the “Island Division” as some high honor? I mean I guess a trip to the Virgin Islands is not all that bad, but still feels a little silly to have all these teams show up and not put on a proper tournament. Whatever.
