The Denver Broncos gave contract extensions to kicker Wil Lutz, center Luke Wattenberg and defensive lineman Malcolm Roach coming out of their bye week, and they've given extensions to 11 key players since 2024.
Even after those deals, the Broncos still have five notable players scheduled to become unrestricted free agents in 2026. Here's a quick look at those players.

2. RB J.K. Dobbins: He ranked fifth in the NFL with 772 rushing yards before his injury. Dobbins could return later this season -- if the Broncos reach the Super Bowl.
3. LB Justin Strnad: He's started 15 games since 2024, totaling 121 tackles, 6.5 sacks, five pass breakups and an interception.
4. TE Adam Trautman: His numbers aren't flashy -- 46 receptions for 485 yards and six touchdowns in 45 games -- but Trautman is a reliable blocker, and coach Sean Payton clearly trusts him.

The NFL's 2026 free agency negotiating window will open on March 9, followed by the opening of the new league year and official start of free agency on March 11. Any in-house pending free agents who do not get extensions before March 9 will be eligible to negotiate with other clubs.
