No ESPN College GameDay this time around, but that's ok. This is still a monster game for both the Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies as the two teams will clash inside Husky Stadium to end the regular season.
Both teams have a lot riding on this one. For the Ducks, their playoff spot will be secure with a win, and they'll most likely host a playoff game. A win could also mean a trip to the Big Ten title game, depending on the result of the Ohio State-Michigan contest. If the Wolverines win with a Duck victory, Oregon would go to Indianapolis for the second straight season.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementFor the Dawgs, they're not in consideration for the CFP, but a win would put a feather in the cap of second-year coach Jedd Fisch as he continues to build the Washington program back up. Plus, possibly keeping the Ducks out of the playoffs would make their year and more.
This is one of the more intense rivalries in the country, and while it's still a bit strange not to play the Beavers in Game 12 of the season, this Northwest rivalry usually lives up to the billing and is more than worthy of playing on the same day as other heated rivalries around the country.
