Through the 2024-25 season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had a total of 506 players suit up for them, going back to their days in Minneapolis. Some were forgettable, some were serviceable, some were good and a select few were flat-out legendary.

During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.

In 2018, the Lakers took Moritz Wagner, a 6-foot-11 big man from the University of Michigan, with the No. 25 pick in the NBA draft. As a rookie, he averaged 4.8 points and two rebounds in 10.4 minutes a game.

As part of the three-team trade that brought Anthony Davis to the Lakers in 2019, Wagner was sent to the Washington Wizards. But it wasn't until the 2010-11 season, when he was dealt to the Orlando Magic, that he started to blossom.

Wagner started to emerge as the frontcourt scoring option that he was billed as when he came out of college. He has averaged 10.5 points and 4.3 rebounds in 18 minutes a game as a member of the Magic, and last season, he put up 12.9 points per game while shooting 56.2% from the field and 36% from 3-point range.

Unfortunately, he tore his ACL last December, and as a result, he hasn't appeared in a game since. There currently isn't a definitive timetable for his return yet.
