Thanksgiving Day's statement win has the Cowboys back in the conversation as December rapidly approaches. In addition to full coverage of the 31-28 win over Kansas City that came as a surprise to many, Friday's headlines also revisited some topics that are old favorites.
Wideout George Pickens, for example, had his first encounter with the late-autumn sun at AT&T Stadium. And fans are once again calling for Jerry Jones to find a way- whatever it takes- to pay both Pickens and CeeDee Lamb to wear the star long-term. Speaking of Jones, he couldn't resist digging up the Micah Parsons trade a full three months after the fact: this time, it was to make the shocking claim that he had originally offered the Jets a first-round pick and Parsons to obtain Quinnen Williams before the season began.

Running back Malik Davis is making a long-awaited impact, and after three straight wins, anything is looking possible for the 2025 Cowboys.
In Kansas City, however, there's a sudden realization that they may not make the postseason at all. That has Patrick Mahomes playing with a must-win mindset he's never had to tap into before. But things won't get any easier for the Chiefs; they'll be without another offensive lineman after a talented rookie went down with a serious injury versus the Cowboys.
Across the league, the Eagles say they're sticking with their offensive coordinator despite yet another loss... but everything else is apparently on the table. The Vikings are set to go with an untested and undrafted rookie at quarterback, and the Cowboys' next opponent could be without their top receiving threat in their Week 14 meeting as Amon-Ra St. Brown sprained an ankle in Detroit's holiday outing.
