Only three teams remain from Palm Beach County in the Florida high school football playoffs.
In the traditional FHSAA playoffs, West Boca Raton and Cardinal Newman picked up region championship wins on Friday, Nov. 28 while Pahokee bowed out in the state semifinal round of the Rural bracket.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementWest Boca Raton (11-2) and Cardinal Newman (10-3) will learn their state semifinal opponents in Class 6A and 1A respectively after qualifying teams are reseeded by the FHSAA over the weekend.
In the Florida Invitational Tournament, Dr. Joaquín García advanced to the championship game of the Class 4A-7A bracket with a dominant performance against Fort Pierce Westwood.
García (10-3) will face Tate (10-3) in the first FIT championship game on Dec. 4 at H.G. Morse Stadium in The Villages.
