Borussia Dortmund boss Niko Kovac has praised Aaron Anselmino and expects the Chelsea youngster to remain at the club until the end of the season.

Anselmino joined Dortmund on loan in the summer, but after an impressive debut he suffered an injury, but the Argentine is now back in action.

The 20-year-old has made six appearances in all competitions, and Chelsea will be hoping he develops well in Germany.

Niko Kovac expects Aaron Anselmino to stay until end of the season

Chelsea signed Anselmino from Argentine side Boca Juniors in the summer of 2024, and he is one of a number of talents the Blues have signed from South America.

Anselmino made his Chelsea debut at the Club World Cup, but there’s a lot of competition at centre back and it will be interesting to see how he develops this season.

Anselmino has put in some impressive performances for Dortmund.

This is his first taste of European football, and early evidence shows the Argentine is adapting well, but it’s too early to say whether he has a long term future at Chelsea.

Dortmund boss Kovac has been impressed with the youngster and stated he expects Anselmino to remain in Germany for the rest of the season.

“I think everything is settled with Chelsea,” he said as quoted by Buli News.

“He’s our player, and I expect him to remain with us until the end of the season.

“I would like that to happen because I think it’s clear he’s getting the minutes he needs here, which he didn’t get at Chelsea.”
