Lexington 61, Clear Fork 33
The Lexington Minutemen cruised to a 61-33 season-opening win over Clear Fork in nonconference action on Friday night.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementSeven Allen led Lexington with 14 points while Jayden Perkins added 11, Dantrell Hughes ad 10, Jace Dawson and Elijah White scored seven apiece, Daniel Hudson and Anthony Failor chipped in with four apiece and Dominic Schroeder and Ke'Andre Harris rounded out the scoring with two apiece. Hudson pulled down a team-high seven rebounds while Perkins had six. Hughes handed out four assists while White and Perkins had three apiece. Allen collected five steals while Hughes and Perkins had four apiece.
Carter Coole led the Colts with 11 points while Trey Sellers had nine, Marcus Hoeflich had four, Noah Goodman chipped in with three and Tye Pryor, Brody Oswalt and Gracin Krunkilton rounded out the scoring with two apiece.
Lexington improves to 1-0 on the year and hosts Dover on Dec. 5 while Clear Fork falls to 0-1 and hosts Ontario on the same night.
Plymouth 70, Buckeye Central 47
The Plymouth Big Red picked up a dominant 70-47 nonconference win over Buckeye Central on opening night of the 2025-16 season.
AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementJarrett Burrer led the way with 21 points while Sean Winfield added 15, Izaya Reynolds had 11, Lex Grose scored nine, Jackson Bays and Mason Stine collected five apiece, Trevor Putt chipped in with three and Grant Anderson rounded out the scoring with one.
The Big Red improves to 1-0 and hosts Seneca East on Dec. 2.
