Nov. 28—The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum on Friday released its first Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. Wisconsin Badgers Football Rivalry Bobblehead ahead of the rivalry game on Saturday.

The limited edition bobblehead features Minnesota's mascot Goldy Gopher and Wisconsin's mascot Bucky Badger holding Paul Bunyan's Axe and commemorates the longtime football rivalry, which is better known as the battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe.

The bobblehead is being released in celebration of the 135th meeting between the teams today at Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Minnesota-Wisconsin football rivalry, which started in 1890, is the longest continuously played rivalry in Division I FBS, with an uninterrupted streak of 118 games through the 2024 season, according to the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.

Making the border battle even more interesting is that the all-time series is tied, 63-63-8. The bobblehead will be available exclusively from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum, an official licensee of the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin.
