The past few weeks have seen a revolving door of titles take the throne on Netflix. From a Liam Hemsworth-led The Witcher and the mystery series The Beast in Me starring Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys to brand-new episodes of WWE Raw and Kevin Hart's latest stand-up special, Acting My Age, it's proven difficult for any show to cement itself as the consistent chart-topper on U.S. Netflix. However, that is all about to change, with the arrival of the year's biggest returning series ready to turn the streaming charts Upside Down. So, with all that in mind, here's a look at three Netflix shows you should binge-watch this weekend.

3 'Stranger Things' (2016–2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: 91% | IMDb: 8.6/10
No list of recommendations for this weekend would be complete without Netflix's biggest ever series, Stranger Things. Returning for its fifth season this past Wednesday, there are unlikely to be many people yet to catch the strange happenings in Hawkins, Indiana, but for those who have somehow found Stranger Things passing them by, there's no better time than now to catch up.
The series follows dark forces that begin tearing through a once-quiet 1980s community, with government conspiracies and otherworldly entities threatening to leave death and destruction in their wake. However, a group of young locals isn't taking this threat lightly as they begin to uncover mysterious secrets. One of the greatest shows ever made, Stranger Things is a must-watch.
2 'Dynamite Kiss' (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes: N/A | IMDb: 8.2/10
For those who have either already binged Stranger Things Season 5, Part 1 or are a part of the minority not watching, there's another exciting new arrival on Netflix you shouldn't miss. The streamer's latest Korean series, Dynamite Kiss, delivers a twist on the typical rom-com story, as down-on-her-luck Ko Da-rim (played by Ahn Eun-jin) crosses paths with CEO Gong Ji-hyeok (Jang Ki-yong) at a wedding.
Written by Ha Yoon-ah and Tae Kyung-min, this brand-new K-drama is perfect for lovers of the likes of Squid Game and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Featuring an immersive pair of central performances from Ki-yong and Eun-jin, this surprisingly gripping series twists and turns until it bursts into a sweet, vibrant tale.
1 'This Is Going to Hurt' (2022)
Rotten Tomatoes: 96% | IMDb: 8.4/10
Based on the nonfiction book of the same name by series creator Adam Kay, the limited series This Is Going to Hurt follows junior doctor Kay, portrayed by the voice of Paddington, Ben Whishaw, and his daily life working in Obstetrics and Gynecology at an NHS hospital. The series follows the enormous highs and destructive lows of life in a modern hospital, leaving no stone of this real experience unturned.
Perhaps Whishaw's greatest performance yet, This Is Going to Hurt is often hilarious, almost always dramatic, and incredibly real. An unflinchingly honest portrayal of life inside the walls of a busy hospital, prepare to be blown away by this intelligent, raw miniseries. The series won an impressive four BAFTA Awards in 2023, including prizes for Whishaw's lead performance and the show's writing.
