Jason Statham's 2025 action movie is a major streaming hit, resurging worldwide after a few months of its last strong performance. Statham is one of the most popular stars in Hollywood when the subject becomes action. He has been a key part of multiple action movie franchises, some of which include The Expendables, The Meg, and the Fast & Furious franchise.
2025 saw the release of only a single film featuring Statham, A Working Man. The movie was not a major box office hit. With a reported budget of around $40 million, A Working Man needed to finish in the $80 million to $100 million range to break even. The R-rated action movie managed to do that, ending its worldwide box office run with $88.2 million.
Now, according to data from FlixPatrol, A Working Man is one of Prime Video's most popular movies worldwide. The Jason Statham film has resurged on streaming, becoming the 8th most-watched movie on Prime Video around the globe. When it comes to the United States, specifically, A Working Man sits one spot lower, at 9th in the country.
This is not the first time that A Working Man has become a major hit on streaming. A couple of months before, in September, the 2025 action flick rose to become the most-watched movie on Prime Video's charts in the United States. The film also found success at another streamer, with A Working Man leading MGM+'s charts at the same time.
A Working Man's streaming success shows how audiences continue to back up Statham. While the movie had a disappointing 47% Rotten Tomatoes score from critics, which might have led to fewer moviegoers watching the film in theaters, audiences have a completely different opinion. A Working Man sits at a healthy 87% audience score, leading to a Verified Hot Popcornmeter.
Statham's 2025 action movie has a simple premise. The film follows Levon Cade (Statham), a retired Marine who left his military career in the past, now working in construction. When his boss' daughter is kidnapped, Levon vows to bring her back home, leading to a journey that quickly unravels into something much bigger.
A Working Man is also backed by another of Hollywood's biggest action stars. Sylvester Stallone is not only an executive producer, but the Rocky Balboa actor also co-wrote the script alongside director David Ayer. Anyone looking for creative action set pieces in a streamlined action movie with a major star might find A Working Man worth checking out on Prime Video.
